Subject: – Application for Canadian Student Visa
Respected Sir/Madam,
“Management is, above all, a practice where art, science, and craft meet” A quote made by the Canadian management academic Henry Mintzberg, is what set the tone for my future career prospects. I, Milan Mukeshbhai Panchal, in hopes, to upgrade my career as a management professional am presenting my application for the study permit to study (Course name) at College.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND:
I have done my 10th grade in Gujarat Secondary Education Board (GSEB)in the year2012 with 73.7percentageandI have pursued my matriculation with a Science background from Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) in 2014 with an aggregate of 54.2percentage. After that, as the world is growing towards science and technology and especially in the field of an evergreen branch of Civil, I have been keen on its understanding since my childhood.
During my bachelor’s course, I have studied subjects such as construction management, design of concrete as well as steel structures, building construction, mathematics, and many other core subjects. It gave me a glimpse of how a civil engineer can be associated with the field of management. The concept of these subjects was interesting to learn. I was largely influenced by the impact and importance of Management even on the technical side of the study. Understanding the commercial challenges of the field, and bringing accurate solutions to it by principles of management fascinates me.
With the acquired education and exposure to the field, I have realized that I am lacking the technical knowledge and expertise as the Indian education system focuses on theoretical-based learning. Hence, to fulfill my needs for practical exposure and skills, I believe that the proposed program offered at your globally reputed institution will be the next crucial step for me in shaping my career.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Later on, as every student does, I decided to work in India and started working in Construction Firm named Lucky Construction in Ahmedabad, Gujarat which is known for its contextually sensitive approach towards Construction Works from July 2017 to still working as a junior Engineer. Where I have a strong communication bonding with all staff members and the head of the department. I gained several aspects of the professional world. Like, such as how to coordinate with contractors & laborers and how to manage the construction works. Moreover, I obtained knowledge of
various materials, erection techniques and regulations, Estimation, Bill of quantity calculations, and exposure to fieldwork, and the construction process. In addition to this, I also learned several software skills such as AutoCAD, and Staad.PRO and a few more.
During my tenure, I have realized that I lacked the practical aspects in the field of construction management. Also, to pursue a career in this field and work in a high position in a reputed firm, I must learn the basic aspects with practical skills and expertise.
Moreover, my previously acquired education will act as a base for my prospective studies and I will easily manage to cope with the education that I shall receive and the practical knowledge imparted upon me during the duration of my proposed program. Hence, the program of (Course name) will be a logical extension of my previous studies.
ENGLISH PROFICIENCY:
After exploring vastly and going through a lot of research, I could finally come up with the decision of pursuing my studies further in Canada. To pursue the dream, I appeared for IELTS and scored 7 bands Overall with Listening: 8, Reading: 7.0, Writing: 6.0, and Speaking: 6.5.
To add to that I have completed my schooling as well as an undergraduate with the medium of instruction English.
WHY CANADA?
As I read on many international forums, Canada is the prime education location in the world. Canada is often characterized as being a progressive, diverse and multicultural country. Also, the country is well known to be a mix of many cultures and ethnic backgrounds. It welcomes and accepts migrants from all across the globe and that only remains the topmost reason that people across the world prefer to study in Canada. The country is known to have the highest quality of education being offered at exceptionally affordable tuition rates, as compared to the USA, UK, and Australia. Thus, it has topped my chart of preferences in terms of studying. Moreover, even during these unforgiving times of the Covid-19 pandemic, Canada has been leading the way by welcoming innumerable new students to obtain education in its greatly ranked educational institutions. Acquiring a Canadian educational qualification will assuredly allow me to work with the most reputed multinational organizations in India. Canada has reliably been ranked as one of the finest countries around the world in terms of excellent quality of life.
WHY COLLEGE?
College is the ideal institution for me to get my certification in the field of (Course name). Due to the presence of highly qualified faculty, amalgamated with the presence of like-minded individuals enrolled in this college, I believe I can excel in my future endeavors. College offers smaller classrooms for better student-teacher interaction and state-of-the-art equipment. Apart from the academic prowess of this college, it also understands the need to have distress facilities on and around the campus. Within walking distance of the college, students can dine at gourmet restaurants, work out at the gymnasium, or study at the library. These student support services will surely help in the overall development of my personality. Apart from this, the college is devoted to imparting students a global outlook. It is renowned for its commitment to students and for providing an excellent match of theoretical and practical approaches to studies. Furthermore, the college is the best in the field to provide co-op opportunities resulting in the highest employment rate among the public colleges in Ontario.
WHY (Course name)?
This program covers all aspects of (Course name) like(your details) and more. I was fascinated by the authority and accountability given to a project manager at the site. (Course name) interests me because of the inside view and in-depth knowledge of planning, initiation, execution, monitoring, and conclusion of a project. Meanwhile, I came to realize that along with the technical knowledge of civil works, it is very important to know managerial skills. Overall, (Course name) is used across all industries and is an integral part of any project’s success. I felt that my education and my degree in the civil engineering field alone would not bring me fruitful results if I do not equip myself with leadership and managerial skills. Apart from the academic skills and technicality, this course will also better my professional communication, professional ethics, and building relationships. The flexibility and diversity of the program fit the scale for my academic and research interests. Thus I decided to pursue (Course name) at College.

My father, Mr. Mukeshbhai Panchal has his own small-Scale business and my mother, Mrs. Manjulaben Panchal is a homemaker. My elder sister, Ms. Roshani Panchalworks is an Assistant Manager in Baroda Global Shared Service (Wholly Owned Subsidiary of Bank of Baroda).
My family has strong moral values toward education. Therefore, their main encouragement and support towards my decision promoted an interest for me to further education in Canada. I am very close to my parents. Thus, I consider it both my duty and privilege to look after my parents as they age further, and considering that all the immovable property of my parents is situated in India makes my ties to my home country undeniably profound.
The reasons for why I am return to India are myriad:
l Primarily, India is a developing country with a growing economy, and there are ample opportunities arising every day for me to seek growth in the field of Construction and (Course name).
l Additionally, armed with a Canadian degree, my chances of finding a satisfactory job, in terms of salary and post, is higher in India.
l Further, our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi introduced the Make in India movement and Infrastructural Development concept, hence a rapid increase is noticed in the construction field and its management. Thus, the growth and development of my respective field tend to increase as well.
l Also, being the younger child and a son, I have a responsibility towards my parents and I tend to fulfill them during their old age. In addition to that, considering my Indian values, apart from my parents I have responsibilities towards my elder sister as well and I would like to live up to the mark of my family’s expectations.
AVAILABLE FINANCIAL RESOURCES:
I belong to a financially well-off family. As part of the student visa guidelines, I have paid a one-year tuition fee of 18,222.74 CAD and 15,200 CAD of GICandhave attached the fee receipts for the same. I also have immovable assets in India, which is another reason for me to return to India. I assure you that I will have no financial burdens during my stay in Canada.
I have always been a brilliant student and a person, keen to learn new things. I would like to put forward the fact that the only reason for temporary relocation to Canada is for the sole purpose of gaining academic certification. I would like to request the Visa Officer to kindly consider my application and allow me to study the chosen program so that I can acquire the right skills and knowledge to have a successful professional career.
